HOST CITY (HISAR):

Hisar is situated in Haryana State at 29°9’11” north latitude and 75°43’6” east longitude and at an altitude of 215.2 mtr from the Sea level. It is situated 164 kilometers (102 mi) northwest of Delhi on the National Highway NH 10. Hisar city is one of the important and fast growing centers of Haryana. The city is catering to the needs of not only the population of the district but also to the population of adjoining areas of Rajasthan, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. People from Punjab and Rajasthan come here for the purchase of good quality seeds, cows, buffaloes, bullocks and sheep etc. and also to get good education.

HOW TO REACH:

Hisar is located in Haryana state on National Highway No.10 and is about 164 KM away from New Delhi by road and 185 KM by train. Frequent bus service to Hisar is available from Interstate Bus Terminal (ISBT), Delhi. Auto / Rickshaws are available at Bus stand (4 Km) / Railway station (6 Km) of Hisar for reaching the situated at Sirsa Road. This institute is popularly known as Tractor Training Centre (TTC) in the surrounding areas.

By Air:

Nearest airport is in the city itself, Hisar Airport is just 7 km away from venue of the Expo and it takes around 12 minutes to reach the venue of the Expo by road and then comes the airport of capital of the Nation, Delhi and then the airport of capital of State, Chandigarh both have almost same distance (164 km) and it takes about 3 hrs to reach at the venue of Expo by road.

By Train:

Connections to all the major stations of the country by express and passenger trains. Some of the important trains that pass through Hisar City are:

By Road:

Hisar is connected by road with all the major cities of the country. It is situated on National Highway No. 10 on the Delhi- route. Distances from some destinations in the region:

Buses of the Haryana State Transport Nigam Ltd. and the neighboring states connect Hisar to various centers in the region, such as Delhi, Chandigarh.

SURROUNDING OF INSTITUTES:

Hisar is an ancient city of historical importance, which was established by Mughal Emperor Firozshah Tuglak. Remains of Firozshah Tuglak's fort are still existing in Hisar. A place of religious importance Agroha is situated at a distance of 17 KM from the Venue. Haryana Agricultural University, one of the leading agricultural university in Asia is situated in Hisar. Central Institute for Research on Buffaloes (CIRB) and National Reaseach Centre for Equines (NRCE) both institutes governed by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) are also situated near our venue.

ATTRACTIONS IN HISAR :

FIROZ SHAH PALACE :

Hisar was laid by Firoz Shah Tughlaq in 1354. He adorned his new town with several buildings, including Firoz Shah Palace, which were completed in 1356.

LAAT KI MASJID :

An important historical mounment of Hisar. constructed by Firoz Shah Tughlaq in 1354, is the Laat ki Masjid, It was the main mosque of the palace complex. The mosque of called after the laat, an ancient column re-erected in the north-east of its courtyard. as the complex of the Maszid contains three parts like the prayerhall, the laat or the pillar and the domed building.

GUJRI MAHAL :

TOWN PARK :

It is located on the Delhi Road, adjoining the Hisar Central Jail. The park has Waterfall, which is probably its most attractive point. Formerly, the place was meant for a shooting range. The Park's designers decided not to dismantle the structure. But, with a few changes, they developed it into a beautiful Waterfall.

DEVI BHAWAN MANDIR :

One of the most important religious places of Hisar is Shri Devi Bhawan Mandir. As Hisar was ruled by the Sikhs between the period of 1768 to 1781, it is thus believed that the present Devi Bhawan Mandir was the Maharaja Amar Singh of the Patiala in or around 1770. It was constructed on the bank of the branch of the West Jamuna Canal. As the days went by, the importance of the Mandir increased considerably.
